Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what personal data Charles's Marques collects, why, and how it is handled. Last updated: June 2026.

Who we are

The data controller is Charles's Marques, a personal resale and consignment service based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. For all data-related enquiries, contact: dpo@charlesmarques.co.uk.

What personal data is collected and why

Contact enquiries
When you submit the contact form on this website, the following data is collected: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the message you submit. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. The lawful basis is legitimate interest - you have initiated contact and expect a response. If no consignment arrangement follows, this data is not retained beyond the period reasonably needed to conclude the conversation.

Consignment clients
If you proceed with a consignment, the following data is held: your name, contact details (phone and email), address (for collection purposes), and a written record of items consigned including agreed minimum prices. This data is necessary to perform the consignment agreement. The lawful basis is contract performance. Records are retained for six years after the consignment concludes, in line with standard business record-keeping requirements.

Find & Buy clients
If you engage Charles for a sourcing request, the same contact and transaction data is held as above. The lawful basis is contract performance.

What we do not do

Your data is not sold, shared with third parties for marketing purposes, or used to contact you about anything unrelated to your enquiry or consignment. Your email address is not added to any mailing list.

Third-party processors

This website uses Formspree (formspree.io) to process contact form submissions. When you submit the contact form, your data passes through Formspree's servers before being delivered. Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf and processes data in accordance with their own privacy policy. Formspree does not use your data for any purpose other than delivering form submissions to us.
