The full service. One fee.

The 15% covers everything from the moment Charles takes an item to the moment payment is sent.

Price researchCharles checks what comparable items have sold for recently, so the listing price is right - not too low, not sitting unsold at too high.
PhotographyProper photos in good light, showing the item accurately. This is one of the biggest factors in the final price achieved.
Listing & copywritingDetailed, honest descriptions with the right keywords. Buyers search for specific terms - getting this right is a skill.
Buyer communicationsEvery enquiry, question and offer handled by Charles. You will not hear from buyers unless you want to.
Packing & dispatchCharles sources packaging, packs everything carefully and manages all shipment arrangements. The postage cost itself is paid by the buyer.
Dispute managementReturns and buyer disputes dealt with entirely by Charles. In roughly 1 in 200 transactions something comes back - he absorbs that.

Bespoke arrangements where relevant.

For collection-only items (furniture, bicycles, large gym equipment) the process is more involved. Local buyer pools are smaller, timeframes are longer, and coordination takes more effort. For high-value items such as watches, specialist channels are used. In both cases, Charles discusses expectations and agrees terms before taking anything away. There are no hidden costs.

Full details of the consignment arrangement are set out in the Consignment Terms.
